AWANA

AWANA = Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed

We have chosen to use AWANA for our child discipleship program here at First Reformed. AWANA has been used around the world for over 6 decades. Our personal AWANA mission is to teach and equip children to be disciple makers and Christian leaders in society. All children in 1st-6th grades are welcome to attend. Children are split into 3 age groups. Each night consists of three distinct opportunities for learning, growing, and fun.

In Bible Time, the students hear the Bible story and participate in learning activities to help retain what God is teaching them.
During Memory Time, the students take time to memorize and recite scripture. We believe this is a vital tool in their Christian faith.
The third chunk of time is dedicated to Games. In addition to fun, we believe students will learn leadership and working with others.

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.   2 Timothy 2:15
Awana meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:00 pm September-March.  Supper is served from 6:00-6:30 pm.
Visitors are ALWAYS welcome!
